ACTIONS OF THE LMHI EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL

1) The Executive Committee reminds each National Vice President of his/her duty to promote homeopathy in his/her country: to respond to all letters; to provide requested information about the Liga and membership thereto; to forward the appropriate documents for individual or institutional membership; and to publish widely to homeopathic physicians the announcements regarding the Liga Congresses.

2) Executive Committee recommendations to the International Council:

1. that the Liga Letter be published also in Spanish as proposed by the Secretary for the Newsletter Dr. Sandra Chase;

2. hat they enact the proposal of Secretary for Public Relations Dr. Jose Matuk to create personal e-mail codes for the Executive Committee, as well as for each National Vice President, with a link to the LMHI Web page (with password);

3. that it establish an LMHI Award for the best paper presented at a Liga Congress;

4. that it direct the Secretary for Research to create a Working Committee to propose the requisite award criteria (taking into account Dra M. Lara-Marquez’s suggetions) to present to the EC and the IC for approval;

5. that a Research web page be created, the responsibility there for to be shared by the Secretary for Research and the Secretary for Public Relations, taking into account the financial constraints of the Liga;

6. that Working Teams be established in the areas of Education and Research. For example, the Secretary for Education would contact colleagues in the respective countries who are active in homeopathic professional education asking for their education syllabi in order to define a proposed Minimum Progarm of Homeopathic Education recommended by the LMHI. Similar activity would occur under the auspices of the Secretary for Research.

Japan was accepted as a new member country. Bulgaria and Colombia were welcomed to the International Council after a long absence.
